Summit Entertainment has acquired the rights to make a live-action film out of Orson Scott Card's sci-fi classic "Ender's Game" - a story whose main characters are roughly the age of 12. Gavin Hood (X-men Origins: Wolverine) is set to direct the film.
I loved this book (it's probably in my top 10 all time), but I've been hearing rumors of it being made into a feature length film for over a decade, so file this under "I'll believe it when I see it." Plus, the odds that Hollywood will f*ck it up are huge. It's a dark, desperate tale involving young children. Hopefully Orson (a producer on the film) can keep throwing up Harry Potter in the Studio's face every time they ask him to water it down.
